The Commercial Fishing Vessel Advisory Committee (CFSAC) formerly known as the Commercial Fishing Industry Vessel Safety
Advisory Committee (CFIVSAC) will act solely in an advisory capacity to the Commandant of the United States Coast Guard
and the Secretary on matters relating to the safety of commercial fishing industry vessels.
The Coast Guard announced in the Federal Register
that the Commercial Fishing Safety Advisory Committee will meet in Seattle, Thursday, November 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, November 16, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., to discuss
various issues relating to safety in the commercial fishing industry. All meetings will be open to the public. The meeting may close early if all business is finished.

The Committee will advise, consult with, and make recommendations to the Commandant on matters and actions relating to
the safe operation of vessels to which Chapter 45 of Title 46 U.S.C. applies.
