What's New

08/28/2019:  The Coast Guard's Office of Commercial Vessel Compliance (CVC) has issued Work Instruction 015(1). The purpose of the work instruction is to set forth the interpretations of when a vessel’s keel is considered to be laid or the vessel is at a similar stage of construction, and provides guidelines for determining what may be accepted for the purpose of establishing a vessel’s keel laid date.

08/05/2019:  The Coast Guard has approved Inland Towing Operators Working Together (ITOW) as a third-party organization (TPO) to carry out certain functions in accordance with Subchapter M.  A complete list of all nine Coast Guard approved TPOs can be found on the Coast Guard Approved TPOs webpage.
