Project Management Division (CG-REG-2)
The Project Management Division (CG-REG-2) is responsible for the development and management of Coast Guard rulemaking projects that implement safety, security and environmental protection regulations. These regulations are found in Titles 33, 46 and 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

Rulemaking projects are developed in a team environment that follows the Coast Guard’s Regulatory Development Program-Mission Management System (RDP-MMS). The RDP-MMS helps ensure the quality and timely development of regulations.
The Project Management Division helps guide the regulatory development process by—
reviewing rulemaking project initiation requests
reviewing legacy projects for continued viability
accelerating the advancement of critical rulemakings
developing performance measurement processes and tools
