IMO Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC)

Summary
The Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) is a subsidiary body of the Council. MEPC, which consists of all Member States, is empowered to consider any matter within the scope of the Organization concerned with prevention and control of pollution from ships. In particular it is concerned with the adoption and amendment of conventions, other standards and measures to ensure their enforcement.

Previous Sessions
At the end of each MEPC meeting, a final report is prepared for submission to the Council. The final report provides a record of the issues discussed and actions taken by the Committee. The final reports of the most recent MEPC meetings are provided for your reference.
